Cause Of Denial - Severance
My apologies on the lateness of this review, I have been without CD player for some time now so all physical copies have taken a while to sort through.
Cause Of Denial's EP Severance is four tracks kicking off with track one, Severance. Starting off with a real fresh sound and crisp sounding vocals the EP really draws in the listener as soon as they hit the play button, fused together with a real tight sounding scream vocal and energetic instrumental Severance is clearly the right choice of song to use as the opener to keep listeners interested.
Made Of Nothing is the second track on the EP again opening with a real fresh sound with real tight sounding vocal work the vocal pitch is very impressive in the track too displaying real high notes matching the music perfectly.
No Bullets is the third track, starting off a bit heavier than previous tracks with a real metal, powerful riff and scream vocals from the start. The track sounds a little different to the previous tracks but it sounds brilliant non the less, showing the band have depth and a variety of ideas as to how they plan to present their sound.
Undecided is the final track on the EP starting on a similar wavelength to No Bullets, real metal and heavy even the vocals have changed in style slightly at the beginning giving off a more spoken word/rap feel to the track again demonstrating the bands depth and variety of ideas as to what they want to include into their music.
Again my apologies to the band for the lateness in the review, but by all means go and check these guys out they are really sitting on top of a fresh new sound and it's worth looking into!
Final Riff Rating : R R R R
