As Darkness Surrounds - Doncaster The Priory

| As Darkness Surrounds are a five piece metal band from Doncaster, support came from One Night Stand With Fate and Into The Abyss. This was also As Darkness Surrounds EP launch show.
Our boys One Night Stand With Fate were first on to the stage, the venue was brilliant but the crowd wasn't very large in number. Guitarist Greg Braim could not make the show so they had to play with just one guitarist with drummer Dom Parker filling in on clean vocals, despite Greg's absence the boys did amazingly well and played perfectly and showed they were ready for their tour that kicks off on the 19th February.
Next up were Leeds based death metal band Into The Abyss, they kicked off their set brilliantly showcasing some great vocal talents and a great energy on stage, the crowd kind of huddled in a bit more for these guys, they are definitely worth going to catch live so check them out! you won't be disappointed.
And finally As Darkness Surrounds took the stage and showed us a great show. They demonstrated some new tracks from the EP along with some older songs. They showed a great energy on the stage and that they are definitely a band to keep an eye on!
Highlight of the night: Catching up with One Night Stand With Fate and seeing some great new bands up on stage
Downside of the night: I would say the turn out wasn't fantastic and crowd movement could of been better, but maybe that's just Doncaster?
