Sound Of Sirens

Sound Of Sirens - Throw It Away EP

Sound Of Sirens - Riff Review

Leeds high flying punk rock outfit Sound Of Sirens recently went on a short break from music and after a few months away they have come back with a taster of their new material, a new outlook on modern music merging dance/electro up beat synthesizer’s with raw edge rock that the band have pulled off so well for the past years.

The new demo EP has three tracks in total, ’The Universe Is Calling’ , ’Never Die’ and ’Seahorse’ each written with the same old Sirens sound with the new sound ingeniously slotted in.

It is clear to see what the band are aiming to produce and all the pieces are falling into place, with my hopes up high for the guys to continue to produce brilliant tracks such as these three I can truly say that I am eagerly awaiting more material, and possibly a lot of touring action from the guys!

Some people have criticised our reviews in the past and labelled us as too soft, this is not the case, we just don’t see the point in needlessly putting bands down, especially bands that are producing mesmerizing material, so this year reviews will include good points and bad points to keep everyone happy!

GOOD POINTS : The synth’s work incredibly well with Rob’s vocals and the bands style of writing and performing and give them a more upbeat tempo to play around with on a live stage

BAD POINTS: The only thing I can criticise is on the track ‘Seahorse’ when the music breaks it does sound a bit out of place and off but an absolutely cracking start to the year for the guys!

Final Riff Rating : R R R R *Watch out, breaking through this year for sure!*
