The Sun Explodes - The Riverside, Selby 17/4/12
The Sun Explodes are currently out on tour with OurFamous Dead across the UK, I attended the Selby leg of the tour and here is a brief review of what went down.
With a line-up only consisting of the two bands due to drop-outs late on in the week OurFamous Dead opened up the night with a fresh sounding new set consisting of a few new tacks and some crowd favourites, they had a good crowd reception and seem to be growing bigger and better in the scene with each performance, speaking after the set the guys told us that their tour was going well so far and that they were looking forward to playing the remainder of it.
The Sun Explodes headlined the night giving Selby something new to listen to, I have heard an old EP from the guys in the past and had some idea on what to expect, and just as expected, they made a great impression demonstrating some of the most insane high vocals you could ever hear live, throwing in some immense energy and leaving the crowd definitely wanting more!
All in all it was a good night and a great performance from both touring bands and we wish them the best of luck on the remainder of tour.
