Jonny Gill - Thieves Amongst Honour/Lobos Y Ondas (Wolves and Waves)
I have been working the music scene for just over a year now, and I have come across many new artists and bands, but I can honestly say non come close to Jonny Gill (Who seems to have dropped his former name of Open Invitation) Written and performed with so much heart and meaning his latest mini EP features two tracks, the first Lobos Y Ondas (Wolves and Waves) starts with the distinct Jonny Gill sound, soothing and welcoming with easy listening melodies all sang clearly and perfectly giving you the chance to listen to the lyrics and meaning behind his beautiful writing.
Thieves Amongst Honor is the second track, and definitely one of, if not, the best track I have heard from Jonny, delivering brilliant lyrics mixed with such a welcoming voice it is easy to admit that Jonny is one of the greatest undiscovered artists of our generation and if he keeps this up I have absolutely no doubt in my mind that he will be bursting through the music scene in no time at all
An utterly beautiful masterclass in modern day acoustic music.
