We Are The Ocean - Go Now And Live

We Are The Ocean - Go Now And Live

If you know me personally, then you probably already know how this review is going to end up. We Are The Ocean are my absolute favourite band and here is what I make of their second album Go Now And Live.

Following up from their first album Cutting Our Teeth, which has thrown them right into the eye of the storm that is the world music scene Go Now And Live is a truly epic piece of work really demonstrating just how far they have come since releasing their debut EP. Front man Dan Brown taking on a new vocal sound which some people are not too keen on, whereas I think it really blends well with Liam Cromby's world class vocals giving the band a real new sound. They have well and truly dropped the title of an Alexisonfire tribute band as to which they were referred to as time and time again over the previous couple of years.

Go Now And Live is a real eye opener to all those who have discredited the band over the years and speaking on behalf of all We Are The Ocean fans I can say they have well and truly delivered a master class album. With every new album/ep release the band are improving and experimenting with new sounds.

The band play Slam Dunk Festival again this year and we will keep an eye out for tour dates to try go out and speak to the lads for a catch up.

If you have not heard of the band, please, for your own good check them out via this link: We Are The Ocean

Riff Final Rating: R R R R R *Best Album Of The Year - So Far!*
