We The Kings @ Cockpit, Leeds

We The Kings - Leeds Cockpit

We were down in Leeds on Saturday to welcome We The Kings back to the UK as they embark on their world tour, support came from I See Stars, All Forgotten and VersaEmerge.

First band up on the stage were I See Stars, who were making their very first appearance in the UK, Leeds being the second date on the tour. They opened the show amazingly well and their set was packed with energy and they provided a real strong stage presence. They definitely made a great Leeds debut and the fans seemed to be 100% behind them and willing to participate in their set..

Next up were All Forgotten, the only UK band on the tour, you may have seen them on Lava TV lately. They began their set really strong and powerful and really did themselves proud. Fans enjoyed their set, again fully participating in what front man Dan was asking of them, they sounded perfect up on stage despite having partied till 4am the previous day!

VersaEmerge were next up, and this is were Leeds managed to get a whole lot more crazier, mid way through their set we had a stage invasion from one guy. The band played incredibly well and had full crowd participation and proved to be a real crowd pleaser.

Finally, We The Kings came to the stage greeted by a huge cheer from the crowd, who were welcoming the band back to the UK the previous times the band have been over here were to perform at Slam Dunk Festival in 2009 and to support You Me At Six last year. Their set had everything a live show needed, energy, crowd participation, stage invasions and even an acoustic break down and a few stories told by front man Travis Clark, they even covered Jimmy Eat World - The Middle , a song that they had performed at Slam Dunk Festival during their 2009 visit. The band ended with their most known track ‘Check Yes Juliet’

All bands played perfect on the night and seemed to have gained a very stable fan base over here.

The crowd were crazy and it made the night a whole lot more enjoyable.

Highlight of the night : The crowd were fucking insane! Well done Leeds you showed the bands that the UK know how to throw a proper party.

Disappointment of the night : I honestly can not pick a single fault on then night, the event was planned perfectly, the staff were friendly , crowd were insane and the bands played their hearts out.

We managed to interview Devin and Brent of I See Stars and Travis from We The Kings so be sure to check them out if you haven’t already!
