The Ocean Between Us - TOBU

We caught the guys at Selby last night and we now have their EP so here is what we think of it!

The Ocean Between Us are a five piece metal - post hardcore band from Leeds.

The guys have just hit the big time and signed to A Wolf At Your Door records and their EP will be released through them next year. The EP is five tracks long or better even five tracks short. every song on there shows just why these guys have become as popular as they have this year and really shows a lot of potential.

Not only are the songs amazing recorded but the guys have the ability to transfer the passion from the recorded tracks and perform them just as well live.

The first track on the EP is titled 'Nice One Kid, You Just Brought A Knife To A Gunfight' and it pulls you in and you instantly want more from the band, all the following tracks are equally as good but the one track that stands out for me and is easily in my opinion the best song on the EP is a track titled 'What Do You Stand For?' everything about it is just pure genius and original, the vocals, the instrumental, everything. It has an easily recognisable tune and is so catchy and will be stuck in your head for hours!

In the interview we spoke to Judd and he mentioned how people have been criticising both himself and the band, people saying his vocals are all wrong and he has no idea what he is doing, well this EP really does not show that, vocals are spot on and couldn't be any better as for people wandering how the band have done so well...listen to the EP and you will find out why.

All in all The Ocean Between Us have really shown us a glimpse of what they have to offer and I for one can not wait to hear more!
