Mission Trinity Fundraiser

Mission Trinity Fundraiser - Vintage Rockbar, Doncaster

We were down in Doncaster on Wednesday 29th June to raise funds and awareness for Mission Trinity, a Goole based charity set up to help homeless people and those in need. Headlining the evening were up coming Doncaster rock band ReVerbed with InHeptic, Beyond Recognition, Saving Time!, Ava Divine and Hope.Break.Legend.

InHeptic were first to take to the stage, coming from Goole and surrounding areas the guys have really began to develop as a band since I first saw them in Selby, battling through an exciting and energetic set to a very low count crowd the band managed to get their sound heard and have shown a lot of development in the past few months.

Second up to the stage were Manchester based band Beyond Recognition, who demonstarted a great amount of talent for such a small and emerging band. The room was slowly filling up by this point but all who missed these guys missed out on something special, hopefully we will have them onboard with Riff more often!

Next up were Pop-punk band Saving Time! who arrived just in time to demonstrate a great sounding set that really put a high on the whole gig. One of the highlights of the set had to be the cover of Wheatus' Teenage Dirtbag, complete with high pitched mock female vocals! These guys are definitely ones to look out for in the future.

Riff boys Ava Divine were next up to show off their skills demonstrating tracks form their debut EP, it was their first gig in a while and even though they said themselves that they were a bit rusty they still managed to pull off a great show and get a good amount of support from the short crowd. Their new tracks should be gig ready very soon so expect a new set!

Hope.Break.Legend were next up to the stage and carried on the theme of showcasing some of the brightest young talent that the UK has to offer. Kicking off their set with great amounts of energy and a perfect live presence they really managed to get the small crowd behind them and seemed to enjoy themselves!

Doncaster rising stars ReVerbed topped the bill on the night and after hearing their debut album not too long ago I was very excited to hear the band perform live. Even though it was not the biggest of crowds they will have played too they still managed to push through the set and play brilliantly, there was a slight set back with a drum stand but showing their strength as a band they took away the symbol and played on without it.

All bands were perfect on the night and showed the crowd just what they are capable of, I can at this time confirm that we raised a great total of £35, which may not seem a lot to some of you, but considering the money housed someone you can see just how much a little donation can make.

Thank you to all bands that took part and everyone that came down.
