Nathan Luke’s EP “Hold On” Immediately made a lasting impression on me, the music is simple & stripped down yet beautiful &haunting, his voice is soft yet powerful, and his words sweet & honest, the perfect examples of this are his tracks “Miracle” & “Hold On”
Nathan puts so much emotion into his tracks that at times it can be a little difficult to keep your own emotions in check, through “Hold On” I found myself fighting back tears, but emotions aside it’s an easy listening EP & even though it’s just one guy with an acoustic guitar each song offers something different whilst holding onto its simplicity and rawness.
Nathan Luke has stripped his music of fancy effects & processing and the end result is a beautifully stripped down, raw and emotional collection of tracks, Nathan opens up to the world about falling in love, suffering loss & being judged in the 4 tracks on the EP all done through his lyrics which have a refreshing sense of honesty and truth about them, something that I have found is quite rare in today’s music scene where most people write about what they think people want to hear and act how they think people want them to act.
