Feldberg - Don't Be A Stranger
Feldberg are an Icelandic duo, who's new album Don't Be A Stranger will be released on April 11th in the UK, we were sent it to have a listen to.
I would say the first notable thing about Feldberg would be the unique vocal style of vocalist Rosa Birgitta Isfeld. The album is ten tracks long and probably more suitable for those of you that enjoy to sit down with a great chill out album as opposed to those of you who enjoy louder music.
Second member of Feldberg Einar Tonsberg lays down vocals on some tracks too and together both vocalists contrast really well. The whole album is very melodic rock and producing brilliantly. Track three on the album Dreamin' won best song at the 2010 Icelandic Music Awards and track nine Don't Be A Stranger from which the album gets it's name was in the Icelandic top ten for four weeks which shows the potential of the album.
Fans of acoustic music would probably enjoy listening to this album and I would say it is one of the best melodic albums I have ever heard. The vocals and music contrast with the lyrics beautifully and make it really easy to listen to.
